The 45ft Sea Ray Sundancer books long or not at all: six hours at $1,650 or the popular eight-hour day at $1,850. That structure tells you what kind of boat this is — one for groups who plan to be out all day, not for a quick spin between lunch reservations.

With the full eight hours costing barely more than six, nearly everyone takes the whole day: 15 guests, a slow run down the Caribbean coastline, a couple of long anchored swims, and food from your own cooler eaten on deck at anchor. Two cabins and two bathrooms below keep the group fresh from first swim to last.

Your captain and mate, fuel, ice, a cooler and drinking water are all in the rate. Food and alcohol are yours to provision; gratuity for the crew is customary; and the marina tax appears as its own line on the quote. A 50% deposit secures the date.
