The year is in the name for a reason: the 52ft Azimut (2020) is the newest of our mid-size Azimuts, and on a boat you rent by the hour, newness is a feature you can feel — in the upholstery, the finishes and the way the whole boat still feels tight and showroom-new underfoot.

Rates run $1,400 for three hours, $1,800 for the popular four-hour window, $2,500 for six and $3,100 for the full eight, with up to 13 guests aboard and a captain-and-mate crew handling the day end to end. Three cabins and two bathrooms below deck carry the group through a long day without the usual squeeze.

Fuel, ice, a cooler, drinking water and a floating mat come standard; provisioning is yours to bring. Gratuity for the crew is customary at 15 to 20 percent, one written quote covers every line, and a 50% deposit reserves your date.
