The 40ft Pardo is the design-forward pick of the Sport row — a 2022 hull from the Italian yard whose plumb bow and clean, open deck have made it the day boat of choice in the Mediterranean's smarter harbours. Ours does the same job on Biscayne Bay for up to 12 guests.

It charters at $2,200 for the popular four-hour window, $3,000 for six hours and $3,500 for the full eight. Two cabins and two bathrooms hide under that minimalist deck, so the style does not cost you the practicalities, and a captain and mate run the day while the boat draws the looks.

Fuel, ice, a cooler, drinking water and a floating mat come with the rate; food and drinks are yours to bring aboard. Gratuity runs customary at 15 to 20 percent, and one itemised quote plus a 50% deposit locks the Pardo to your date.
